**JIVE RIOT CLOSURE UPDATE 09.07.2020**
As per our update on Facebook yesterday (8.07.20) we are still closed temporarily! However, we do know how much you are all missing dancing so we will be posting a weekly video for you all to watch and practise at home. This could be with your partner, daughter, the dog or even a mirror. These will be replaced every Tuesday (in line with our regular Totton class nights prior to closure). We hope that we can return to the dance floor as soon as it is safe to do so but we want to ensure that everyone as safe as they can be before we return properly. We hope that you can understand our reasons behind this. After all, dancing is a close contact sport where you are holding hands with others, regardless of how much you are washing your hands.
Our love for dancing is like all of yours but our biggest priority is you! Our dance family and friends!
For this, we want to keep you all safe and care about each and every one of you so made this difficult decision.
As you can imagine we haven't been making decisions lightly as we understand that dancing is a livelihood and is a great way to keep going so please keep an eye out and we will get back on the dance floor as soon as possible.
*SUMMER BALL UPDATE*
Unfortunately we have had to cancel our summer ball this year so this will NOT be taking place on August 22nd but we do aim to make it even bigger and better this time in 2021 to make up for it.
*BRING YOUR OWN PICNIC IN THE PARK - SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST*
We would love to see you all and although we can't all dance together we can have a socially distanced picnic (obviously everyone will have to bring your own food as we can't be sharing - |oh how we all wish we could have Sonia's baking).
We aim to meet at Southampton Common at 12pm on Saturday 8th August.
Please send us a message to let us know if you are able to attend as we will still be monitoring this closely with regards to the set up of this event, even with it being outside.
Moreover, if you are currently suffering from any illness symptoms, please phone 111 and follow NHS guidelines, avoiding dance events until you are better.
If you do experience any symptoms then please do let us know because as we always say, we are a family and do want to look out for you all regardless.
Stay safe everyone and enjoy the videos so you can keep practising!
